3. Eligibility and Account Registration
3.1 Eligibility
To use our Service, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction)

3.2 Account Creation

- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
Content Violations:
- Post content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- Share content that infringes on intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of third parties
- Upload viruses, malware, or other malicious code
- Post spam, promotional content, or unsolicited commercial communications
Technical Violations:
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Circumvent any security measures or access controls
Platform Abuse:
- Engage in harassment or discriminatory behavior toward other users
- Manipulate our platform features or algorithms

4.2 Job Seeker Specific Rules
As a job seeker, you agree to:
- Provide truthful and accurate information in your profile and applications
- Not submit applications on behalf of others without authorization
- Maintain professionalism in all communications
4.3 Employer/Recruiter Specific Rules
As an employer or recruiter, you agree to:
- Post only legitimate job opportunities
- Provide accurate job descriptions, including compensation when required by law
- Not discriminate based on protected characteristics
- Comply with all applicable employment laws and regulations
- Respect candidates' privacy and use their information only for legitimate recruiting purposes
- Not post jobs requiring illegal activity or exploitative terms
5. Content and Intellectual Property
5.1 Your Content Ownership and License
You retain all ownership rights to Your Content. By submitting Your Content to the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Use, reproduce, modify, and display Your Content solely as necessary to provide the Service
- Share Your Content with employers and recruiters only as you explicitly direct
- Store and back up Your Content to maintain the Service
This license ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, except where:
- Content has been shared with employers at your direction (they may retain their copies)
- We are required by law to retain certain records
- Content has been aggregated in anonymized form
You may delete or modify Your Content at any time through your account settings.
5.2 Content Standards
You represent and warrant that Your Content:
- Does not violate any third-party rights (including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights)
- Does not contain confidential information you're not authorized to share
- Complies with all applicable laws and regulations
- Is accurate and not misleading
5.3 Platform Intellectual Property
The Service itself, including its design, features, functionality, software, and our original content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Goodpeople and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
- Use our trademarks or branding without written permission
- Extract or scrape data from the Service
- Remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices
5.4 User Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, we may use such feedback without compensation or attribution to you.
6. Information Sharing and Privacy
6.1 Control Over Your Information
You control what information is shared and with whom. When you apply for a job or express interest in an opportunity:
- You choose which profile elements to share
- Information is shared only with the specific employer or recruiter you select
- You can modify your sharing preferences at any time
6.2 Profile Visibility
You can control whether your profile is:
- Visible to all employers and recruiters
- Visible only to selected employers
- Hidden from searches
- Completely private
6.3 Privacy Policy
Our collection, use, and sharing of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.
6.4 Communications from Employers
When you apply for a job or share your information with an employer:
- That employer may contact you directly
- We are not responsible for employers' communications or conduct
- You can report inappropriate behavior to us
7. Job Postings and Applications
7.1 No Employment Relationship
We are a platform that connects job seekers with employers—we are not your employer. We:
- Do not employ job seekers
- Do not make hiring decisions
- Are not responsible for the employment relationship between users and employers
- Do not guarantee job placement or interviews
7.2 Employer Responsibilities
Employers represent that their job postings:
- Are for legitimate employment opportunities
- Accurately describe the position and comply with applicable laws
7.3 No Verification
We do not verify:
- User identities
- Resume or credential accuracy
- Employer legitimacy
- Job posting accuracy
You are responsible for conducting your own due diligence before accepting employment or hiring candidates.
7.4 Third-Party Links
Some job postings may redirect you to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or handling of your information by third parties.
8. Fees and Payment
8.1 Free Services
Basic use of our job search platform is free for job seekers. We reserve the right to introduce fees in the future with at least 30 days advance notice.
8.2 Premium Services
If we offer premium services, fees will be clearly disclosed before purchase and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
8.3 Employer Services
Separate pricing and terms may apply for employers and recruiters.
9. Termination
9.1 Termination by You
You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon closure:
- Your access to the Service will end immediately
- Your profile and data will be deleted within 30 days
- Information already shared with employers may remain in their systems
9.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Your actions harm or could harm other users or the Platform
- Required by law
9.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Service. Sections of these Terms that should reasonably survive (including limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.
10. Disclaimers and Warranties
10.1 Service "As Is"
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

- That employers or job seekers will respond to communications
10.3 User Responsibility
You are responsible for conducting your own due diligence regarding employers, job opportunities, and candidates.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 Limited Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the Service
- Actions or omissions of other users
- Unauthorized access to your account or data
- Errors, interruptions, or security issues with the Service
This applies whether based on contract, tort, strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
11.2 Maximum Liability
Our total liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
11.3 Jurisdictional Exceptions
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your Content
- Any false or misleading information you provide
13. Dispute Resolution
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. However, if you are a consumer in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or Switzerland, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence may also apply.
13.2 Informal Resolution
Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
13.3 Jurisdiction
For users in the United States: You agree that any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Fairfax County, Virginia, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
For users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland: You may bring claims in the courts of your country of residence, and we may bring claims against you in those courts.
For users in other jurisdictions: Disputes shall be resolved in accordance with the governing law stated above, subject to mandatory local consumer protection laws.
13.4 Class Action Waiver
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity and not as part of any class, consolidated, or representative action.
13.5 Time Limitation
Any claim must be filed within one year after the claim arose, or it is permanently barred.
14. General Provisions
14.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

These Terms are written in English. Any translations are provided for convenience only. In case of conflict, the English version prevails.

You agree to comply with all applicable export and import control laws and regulations in your use of the Service.
